REGENT was founded by Billy Thalheimer, CEO, and Mike Klinker, CTO, in 2020.
REGENT is headquartered in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, and has an office in Washington, D.C.
REGENT has raised more than $90 million from investors including 8090 Industries, Founders Fund, Japan Airlines, Lockheed Martin, Thiel Capital, Mark Cuban, and Y Combinator.
REGENT has a global order book of more than 600 seagliders worth over $9 billion spanning aviation, ferry, and freight and lessor customers, with order holders and strategic investors across six continents.
The 12-passenger Viceroy Seaglider will enter into service mid-decade, which we’re targeting to be between 2026 and 2027. The 50-100-passenger Monarch seaglider will enter into service end-of-decade.
Seagliders are certified and regulated as maritime vessels.
